Percol and Coffee Kids

Grounds for Hope, Coffee Kids Charity

For many communities in central and Latin America coffee farming is the main source of income. Percol contributes a portion of every sale to the Coffee Kids Charity, an international charity which has helped thousands of children, women and men in coffee-producing regions in Mexico and Central America to improve their quality of life and build more sustainable communities.

The Coffee Kids charity focuses on the challenges facing farmers dependent on coffee production. Coffee Kids works with local non-government organisations in Latin America to create education, healthcare, training, and micro-enterprise programs for coffee farmers and their families. The projects respect the cultural integrity of local partners, foster independence and promote long-term self-sufficiency.

Since 1998 Percol's customers have helped us to make a total donation in excess of $350,000 to the charity. Percol's support of Coffee Kids is driven by a desire to help to ensure a sustainable future for coffee communities and therefore great quality coffee for years to come.

Coffee Kids was founded by coffee roaster Bill Fishbein in 1988, and is an international nonprofit organization. Visit the Coffee Kids website.
